Lithology and Thickness
The Ouargla Fm. is made entirely of sandstones (Klett, 2000). Equivalent to the upper part of the Hamra Fm of the Illizi Basin and upper part of the Hawaz Fm (Haouaz Fm) of the Ghadames Basin (Klett, 2000).
Relationships and Distribution
Lower contact
It conformably overlies the Quartzites de Hamra Fm.
Upper contact
It is conformably overlain by the Argile d’Azzel Fm.
